| Internet Portal Baden-Wuerttemberg & Shanghai for Science and Economy | |
The partner regions Baden-Wuerttemberg and Shanghai, represented by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg and the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, agreed upon the establishment of a joint Internet Portal Baden-Wuerttemberg & Shanghai for Science and Economy, in October 2002 in Shanghai. The execution and implementation was delegated to the "Centrum für internationale Terminologie und angewandte Linguistik" (CiTaL) for the Baden-Wuerttemberg part and to the Department of Computer Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, for the Shanghai part. The aim of this undertaking is the implementation of multilingual (German, Chinese, English) scientific and economic Internet platforms for the Internet presence of the competent authorities and organisations, and latest scientific and economic news and information.
